Was your thesis clear? Objectively reflects upon the their own assertions. The scoring will likely be based on those factors. Instructional rubrics make teachers' expectations very clear.
Focusing on the criteria one at a time is better for instruction and better for formative assessment because students can see what aspects of their work need what kind of attention. Instead of the holistic rubric's lumping of several different traits into one category, an analytical rubric separates them.
